Hey everybody,
It's been a few weeks since my last message, and we've travelled a lot since then.
After Rotorua we went Taupo, where there is a beautiful lake, and nothing else. We went to a high rope park though, and I walked on these ropes high in the sky. That didn't scare me a bit. But then I had to jump of this high swing, and I'm really afraid of falling, so that really freaked me out.
After Taupo we went to Napier. Napier is a small town by the sea completely in Art Deco style. All the colours made it look really pretty.
We then went to Wellington, NZ capital. Not to much there though. We had a look at the government buildings and the national museum.
Then it was time to get up really early, and catch the boat to the south Island.
The south island has very different nature from the north island. There are loads of snowy mountains and lakes around.
We went to Abel Tasman national park for a day, it was a bright and sunny day and the views were amazing. Blue water, palm trees etc.
Then travelling the Wild West coast to Frans Jozef to see the glacier and after that we left for Queenstown.
Yesterday we went to Milford Sound. Snowy mountains, waterfalls and a cruise through the sound, a great trip.
And the most exciting thing I did today was... laundry :p Not too interesting, also rather important when travelling.
Tomorrow I'll have to face my fears again when we do Fly By Wire (sort of a rocket on a wire that you fly in) but it should be cool.
Sweet as (as the Kiwis say, doesn't mean anything though :p)
Ciao,
Laura
